My life began as a native Texan, which did at times include cowgirl hats, boots, and horses.   As my travels led away from Texas, I was fortunate to experience the professions of nursing, art, and aviation, as well as assuming the role of instructor in each.  Art (drawing and painting) has unquestionably been the common sustaining thread throughout every pursuit, beginning in grammar school. While my daughter and son were growing up, I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree, Fine Art, Drawing and Painting, from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.  My professional artistic interests and pursuits have evolved by integrating art with community to include teaching in schools, museums, adult education and enrichment programs. My oil paintings come to life with color, composition, and movement on paper, canvas or wood panels. I am inspired by the beauty, variety, and spectrum of colors that life and nature so generously provide.
